It depends. Nuns, no. Their money is held in a common pool. I don't know about Roman Catholics, but Orthodox priests are usually quite poor, and have to buy their own health insurance. But it all depends on the size and genercity of the parish.

Were talking about other human beings here, Nuns and priests aren't exempt from their own personal issues. I went to Catholic school for the first eight years of my life, and I had racist behavior thrown in my face on a daily basis. I never had a really bad experience with any of the priests (thank God), but some of them drank very heavily, and were scowlish in their facial expressions most of the time. They were unapproachable, and I sometimes had the communion shoved in my hand or mouth, depending on the priest.
