well me and my friend are 4 years apart. hes 18 and im 14
but i really like him and everytime were together he always kinda acts like hes trying to give me a hint that he likes me too

I think that you like him on the outside from your age differences. Look at your own age group and realize that it will hurt both of you if you date, have sex, or even continue it. Friends is ok but the age groups don't dissapear until after your around 30.

If you want it to be long term, stay friends with him. If you want your friendship to fall apart then take it to the next level and tell him. I vote for staying friends, especially if you really like him.
