Ive read online that a juice fast can help you not only lose wieght, detoxify your body and...STOP SMOKING! So I was wondering does anyone know more about it? Have you tried it and it worked? Id love to hear from you.

if u really want to stop smoking, go to the doctor. there's a new drug out called chantix. i've been smoke free since 12/12/06, and i was smoking for 22 years. made it surprizingly easy when it practically eliminated withdrawls.

Hi Jessica

Ive done several juice fasts with the goal of more nutrition and detoxifying the body. I cant say anything about smoking, but I do know that jicing gives the body instant nutrition (juice goes into the blood within seconds, unlike digesting food through the normal channels usually not enough assimilation of nutrients).

I make 30 oz of juice and mix with 30 oz of distilled water 3 times a day. Drink more water in between meals, so it adds to 1.5 or 2 gallons of fluid a day. Ive done these as long as 30 days with great success. If you get hungry drink more water. I drink it fast as well, is part of my success with these programs. I drink 60 oz of fluid within 5-7 min and I dont feel hungry.

I also lost 21 pounds on a 21 day fast even though I dont need to lose any weight! I just kept track because people are into that. You can change or reset your metabalism if you go 21 days or more. That will have a very positive impact on your body. Do 5-7 days at first then you will have confindence to go longer in a month or two later.

You get more nutrition then you ever have before and that will help stop the need for cigarettes I believe. When your body has enough nourishment it wont crave nicotine, sugar, or caffenine. That is the key to healing (nutrition). I still juice 2-3 times a week (meals) just to keep plenty of nutrients flowing in the body.

Doing cleanse using herbs is very effective as well. Especailly a colon cleanse. Clear out the toxins regually out of the colon and illenss and disease cant exsist in the body.

Ur own will power is required to stop smoking.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.
