Hey Guys.

I got accepted to an aviation school and now I'm required to take this FAA Class II Physical Exam. For all your pilots out there, can you give me alittle more details on this exam? Like what is conducted during this exam, and such.

I also wear contact lenses, would that be a problem?

You can find out about the Second-Class Medical Certificate in your FAR-AIM Part 67, Subpart C.

67.203 (a) Distant visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye separately, with or without corrective lenses. If corrective lenses (spectacles or contact lenses) are necessary for 20/20 vision, the person may be eligible only on the condition that corrective lenses are worn while exercising the privileges of an airman certificate.

The class II is very similar to the class 1. Vision test, coughing test, urine test. I had to run on a treadmill and have my vitals checked. I haven't done a class 2 in years so my info could be outdated.

i had to get a class two for school too.... but you will have a ton of test to do. you will have the 20ft vision chart... you have to get 20/20 ... in both eyes individually. all other vision requirments will be 20/40. also you will have to pass the color test to make sure your not color blind. you will pee in a cup and they get to test a bunch of stuff. ... most of it is vision. they will do hearing test too.
