I know that it is known that lymph nodes enlarge because of infection or more serious problems, but could they enlarge because of:

1) Stiff muscles in the neck and shoulder?
2)TMJ?

Please tell me how you know your answer. Thanks!

I guess instead of TMJ I should have said the clenching of teeth when awake and asleep.

Swollen lymph nodes are usually due to an acute infection. If they don't go down after you are done feeling sick, see your doctor.

tmj would not enlarge nodes, its a local degenerative condtion. Stiff neck is a symptom, not a condtion, and also not a cause of node enlargement.
