this is a good question and i'll answer this question seriously as most of my answers are stupid because the questions are asked by stupid people trying to appear smart.

in my opinion and experience:

i have had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles and birds.

i love animals and they will always be less of a hassle than any human being.

the dog that i have kept, i have loved dearly as there is nothing that shows unconditional love like a dog. they love you whether you are smelly, stupid, ill tempered or a wimp. i could accidentally step on my dog's paw, she yelps and is happy as rain in less than a second after i step off. she loves me after i yell at her, she loves me if i don't yell at her. her love was unconditional.

BUT: one doesnt learn a thing about relationships while having a dog. because a dog's 'love' is unconditional, it means you could be the biggest jerk in the world and she will still come wagging her tail to you. what does that teach you? NOTHING!

a cat, in which i have two, are much more temperamental and hard to please...guess what? just like a human and resembles the personality of the female species in particular. women are relationship based. men are more activity based. which means that women love to gossip and gab about he said that she said that they said that we said that whoever said about whatever. men will say 'hey, let's grab a pizza.'

thus:

dogs are more task oriented. playing fetch, playing ball, playing tug of war, wrestling with you, barking at you etc! :) i loved my dog as i was growing up. step on a dog's paw and she goes 'yelp!', then forgives you because she knew it was an accident. dogs are meant for more for men because this is how guys are. most dogs in the wild form a pack and need/want a leader. that leader has to be you otherwise the dog is confused. what guy would not love having this little buddy love you no matter what you do. it is almost effortless.

cats...well, you step on my cat's tail accidentally and he is really ticked off. he hisses at you and runs away really, really mad! sometimes it takes days of apologizing (and yes, they know that you are trying to apologize) before they will let you 'pet' them again. sounds familiar? does it sound like the female species? if it doesnt, it means that you dont know women enough...yet. say one small wrong thing to ANY woman and she will be really mad at you for a very long time perhaps never speaking to you again. it takes effort to cultivate a relationship with a cat. the bond takes time and trust is earned and not given freely. sounds like the female species yet? :) why else is there a saying 'she was being catty'? it is because a cat mirrors that of the female species.

Girls With Kittens

2016-12-18 05:27:08 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

I think it's because girls are more "in tune" with cats. All cats are different; and girls, more than boys, are more accustomed to "communicating" with an animal by observing its body language, vocal language (and believe me, it IS a language), movements, facial expressions, and so forth. Also, most girls don't feel the need to be in absolute control of an animal; and cats are just too independent for it anyway - so that's an automatic "fit" between human and animal. So, since cats respond to this kind of treatment so well, a natural, strong bond develops between them also. Take this from someone who knows. I have four cats now and have raised dozens over the years.

It's not only girls that like cats lots of guys do to. But I can tell you why I like cats they are very loving and they also catch mice, which I hate. They dont care about who you are all they need is love and food, and they will be your friend for life.

Attraction to baby animals is the topic of numerous university studies.

Cats are cool because you don't have to take them for walks to do their thing.

A low maintenance best friend is perfect for many women, and men too.

Anything else I'm missing?

actually not cats and kitten arent all prefect to have as pets or so what how they do looks so cutie but . i do own a cat but own another animals like dog and fish, ect.. but for kitten you gotta take care of them very well and plus they do get little boring sometimes either they just sit front of the windows and wait til they see a birds outside . or lay there not doing anything much . and you cant take cats for walk or either cant teach them to catch a ball bring back to you alike dogs do . i guess girls like to choose kittens then puppies instead so they wont worrying so much about not pickin poops and takeing them for walk either put them outside . but having dogs yeah their so different but theyre can do alot of things more then cats cant do. my cat is lazy he just sit in the yard just stare til he see any birds fly near by and caught them .

Small amounts of real meat are fine. We call it paying the Kitty Tax. Don't give them any meat with a lot of spices or onions. Onions are bad for cats and so is cow's milk.

There are many guys who like cats also. And cats are cool animals. They aren't like dogs.. they actually have unique personalities. Don't get me wrong, I love all animals, but cats are all very unique and very independent. And all baby animals are cute.. who wouldn't want a baby kitty?

That's funny, I'm a woman and cats have always given me the creeps. I have no rational for this at all, they just do. Then there's the bit about them walking in their litter box and then going on the kitchen table or counter. YUCK! I have great danes.... : )
