Well, you can get skin cancer, and you can die of cancer so I guess it's possible

Tanning bed or too much sun can cause melanoma, which is the deadliest cancer there is. Even if you get the first one found removed and appear clear, you still must have xrays the rest of your life to be sure it doesn't return. Not something to mess with.

If the body can not cool or becomes dehydrated it is conceivable.
