do you also follow the other 600 + Biblical laws found in Leviticus? If you base it on the teachings of Paul, do you also subscribe to his other teachings about jewelry, braided hair and slavery? I'm just curious, can anyone tell me what Jesus had to say about homosexuality? (Which was common amongst the Greeks at the time).

Mr. Dwightisright-I am pointing out that some people insist that they "take the Bible literally" and follow what it says. The reality is, they pick and choose, and interpret using certain criteria.

Lavendar-Jesus taught that "the greatest commandment is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself." If he thought the ten commandments were so important why did he regularly violate the Sabbath? As well as violating other rules concerning what was clean or unclean?

Many of the biblical laws of the Old Testament were specific to the Hebrew people. So no, we do not have to obey "all of those laws". Homosexuality is still a sin according to the NT.
Even so, your analogy flawed as it is similar to asking why someone obeys a specific law if he/she sometimes breaks another law (i.e. speeds) - meaning that just because some law is broken, does not excuse another from being followed. I know, I'm a volunteer sheriffs deputy.
Besides that, I work with a gay guy, his name is Oscar. He seems like a nice enough guy.

Homosexuality is a perversion of the way people's bodies are supposed to work as well as a perversion of moral and spiritual law. Homosexual people are not evil, but I believe they are clearly confused about how to make themselves happy.
I belong to a Christian church that uses most of the Bible for doctrine, but has found that though some books are useful, they are not entirely divinely inspired (after all which books made it into the Bible were decided on by the Catholic Church at the Council of Nicea). I know this sounds like picking and choosing, but I'm afraid a true explanation takes much more space and time than I have now. My point is that Paul is one book that is useful, but not to be taken without careful comparison to what the other books of the Bible say before accepting it as truth.
Jesus taught that people must follow the 10 Commandments from Exodus. One of these commandments is "Thou shalt not commit adultery." This does not address homosexuality directly, but it shows that Jesus and the Jews supported marriage and saw actions that threatened the sanctity of marriage as sins.

There's a difference between sin and laws. A sin is an immoral act. Anything wrong that you do behind closed doors or when you do it you try and hide it is a sin. Laws are made to bring order. Laws are made by people. God didn't waste his time making Eve and then in the end say, never mind man and man can sleep together. God is not so stupid to waste his time creating a companion for Adam (from his rib).
Jesus (who is God) said homosexuality is wrong and that is what we call sexual immorality, it's unacceptable in the eyes of God.

What human actually can have the right to understand God and his thoughts? What right do we have as humans to judge others on certain moral concerns? We only have a short time here on this planet. God is the ultimate judge of our lives, why not let him do the judging, and we'll try to live our own lives the best we can following God's laws as we interpret them.
God is about love, and doing to others as we would have them do unto us. If you persecute an idea, are you not bringing hate and distrust into your life?
Are Homosexuals harming (killing, robbing, fighting) other people? Are they breaking any federal, provincial, or municipal laws? If you are not Canadian, you may want to take a lesson from one of our better Prime Ministers when he (Trudeau) said "The view we take here is that there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation." He removed homosexuality from the criminal code of Canada. Live and let live. If someone is not causing physical or emotion harm, let them be.

as a living priesthood, we should atleast follow what Leviticus says is good an not good. not really the ceremonious stuff.
Leviticus 10 - you shall not sleep with a man as if a woman. this is an abomination. (and no smart-alecking!)
Matthew 23 - these will not inherit the Kingdom of heaven
Galations 5 - sexual immorality
and why do people keep bashing Paul? he said slaves obey your masters. slaves in those times could be also called servants, as they were poor and hired themselves out as workers who were owned by masters. and what's this about braided hair? if there is any referrence to this, it may have been a common pagan custom at the time. and really, do you think the Holy Spirit would allow things He disapproves of to be in there? He doesn't like slavery! You're just supposed to be righteous in God's eyes no matter what the situation.

Jesus said that if we love him we will keep his commandments. He said that if we keep the first two commandments that we would fulfill all the law and the prophets. We are to love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We cannot commit what God calls abomination and say that we love him with all our heart, mind, and soul. And if we love our neighbor then we won't show them by our example that we think it's ok to commit abominable acts.

Why are you trying to apply Jewish law to yourself and others ? Also, remember Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it Matt. 5:17 You also need to differentiate between God's laws; Mosaic law; The Oral and the written laws, etc. Remember, the Bible doesn't always refer to you, or about you.

Homosexuality is an important and needed evolutionary development. It promoted bonding between men, just as heterosexual sex is bonding between men and women. Until modern times most men were bisexual... they formed emotional bonds mostly with women but routinely had sex and bonding relations with other men.
