I would say that it is animal nature and animal drives that makes people step away from what society has lead us to believe is the right way to live. And that way is with one partner. In the animal kingdom many creatures mate and move on. Only a few stay with one mate their entire lives. Animal instinct and physical attraction is simply to reproduce and be pleasured. Thats it. There is no such thing as true love. Its not hollywood and its not a dream. Animal instinct. Thats it. Mate and after a while you move on to greener pastures. Exceptions lie in mutal friendship nothing else.

There's so much infidelity because you have people out there who just don't care......and marrying and getting into serious relationships without loving the person they are with. Yes you can be with one person for your entire life, I plan to. When you marry people for reasons other than love like the idea of being in love of infatuation or lust, you leave yourself open to infidelity. A cheater is a cheater no matter what. Nothing will change that. Someone cheats on you once....move on. They can cheat on someone else.

It is absolutely human nature to be faithful. Just as humans have evolved not to just grab a mte and rape her, they've also evolved beyond animal and primitive levels to crave an intimate and ongoing relationship. Unfaithful people have just not matured to the level it takes to appreciate the wonders of intimacy with trust and sex with love. It's a whole other ballgame when it's honest and caring and loving. that ballgame is the major league games. the little leaguers don't know what they're missing. The payroll is much sweeter in the big boy games.

I believe marriage, as we know it, is archaic and unnatural.
Once you believe this, then infidelity seems the natural progression of things.
The spouses who remain faithful do so because of religion, pride in not being an adulterer, fear of being judged by society, etc. Occasionally, you may find a couple of people who truly are "soul mates" and who love being with each other and having fun together and monogamy isn't a burden at all. But, this type of couple is very rare.

Yes it's possible to be with one person. If you love that person and your sex life is going great, then it's easy to be faithful. I think people that are unfaithful is because they are lacking something in their relationship and instead of turning to the person whom they are supposed to, they turn to infidelity which is sad.

I don't think it's human nature to be unfaithful, but I do think it's human nature to enjoy sex and want to explore sex with other people. I don't think we as humans want to hurt our spouses, but we only live once, and want to explore. We all have fantacies, and some of us (humans) act on those fantacies. Sex is a great thing, too bad sometimes it ends up hurting the ones we care about the most.

It's definitely not human to be unfaithful, because God created a man and a woman as husband and wife, unseparable. Howewer, after the Fall all human logic became perverted and we easily are seduced by things pleasant to our body.

I think whatever comes naturally we should explore more
if a relation becomes torture or abusive, we should be free to leave
I know of some that have been together (not sure if faithful) for 50+ years
they must have found the tantric book of sex or something or gave it up
