Ewww!! Dump them in the garbage disposal and get artichokes or something...

Actually you can roast them and melt a mild cheese over them, I've heard people like them that way...

This convinced my boyfriend to eat brussel sprouts (he used to hate them):

1) Steam a pound of brussel sprouts (cut x's on the bottom--this'll make them cook evenly) for about 10 minutes (do not thoroughly cooked)

2) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

3) Place brussel sprouts on a shallow oven pan. Drizzle olive oil, and balsamic vinegar on the sprouts.

4) Add sliced red onions, minced garlic and ground pepper then top off with feta cheese or goat cheese.

5) Bake in oven covered with foil for 15-20 minutes or until cheese has browned a bit and onions have softened.

6) Serve as a side!

Tips: You can also make a salad exactly the same way only without the baking part (and quarter the brussel sprouts). You can also add fresh orange slices and slivered almonds.

my mother cooks them the absolute best i've had them. she uses frozen brussel sprouts and puts them in a pot with a lil water and cooks them until they thaw...she then puts butter and adobo seasoning on them to taste. they are absolutely delicious and tender. also a great way to cook frozen spinach, broccoli or cauliflower

Steamed, they are best steamed. And try not to overcook them, they get mushy, and that is gross. When poked by a fork, they should have some firmness, not be mushy. Any cooked vegetable is better not overcooked as far as vitamins go.

Roast them with just a little oil and some spices. If you steam them they will taste nasty, and if you add butter, they will just taste like nasty green things with butter.

Trust me on this one... I used to hate brussells sprouts but now I like them.

Bake them in a béchamel sauce with a little cheese.

Eat with hot sauce. Not sure why about the hot sauce, but it works.
