we hang out all the time, spend the nights watching movies and wrestling. we even seem to blow other things off just to hang out with each other. my christmas present from him was a heart shaped necklace which he bought before anything happened between us. when he asked out about it he said he was enjoying being single but a friend of ours asked him how are ya single when ya call her and hang out with her everyday.

Ok, guys out there- ANSWER THIS QUESTION- GUYS ARE NEVER JUST ABOUT BEING FRIENDS WITH A CHIC, RIGHT? They aren't they have enough guy friends for that- he's in to you and the "friend" title must have come about by you somewhere early in the relationship--- only tell him how you feel if you REALLY MEAN IT otherwise you will lose him forever- friendship and all.....good luck to you

Examine your heart. Do you like being his friend more, or could you see the two of you dating? He sounds like he could possibly like you, but this sounds like a hard one. Maybe you should bring up in a conversation if he likes anyone. That'll give him an opening. If he doesn't look you in the eye when he says no, he probably likes you.
But if you are at all unsure about this, hang back and wait until you're sure of his feelings, because this is a friendship that should be treasured.

I was in the same situation. We were best friends..known each other for 17 years and for the last three years always together. People started talking and accusing us of being an item but we weren't. Until I finally got the courage to tell her and she accepted, now we are planning on getting married within the next year...but for you question, It is obvious that he does care for you but you shouldn't really do anything. It should be up to him, all you can do is always encourage him and tell him how any girl would be lucky to have him and how special he is to you..then maybe he will realize that you like him and he will have courage to say anything to you...good luck..

my best friend just left my house... and i've been going through the past thing with him for about 2 months. After a night of extreme cuddling and movie watching almost leading to a kiss.... i'm so confused!! Neither one of us can seem to actually do it..
i think it's okay to be though. I've decided that I'm going to tell him my about my confusion cause i feel like he probably feels this way too. i think you should talk to him too, because if he's your best friend... he should understand.
(or just watch the movie "When Harry Met Sally" with him. It'll probably get the message across....)

Maybe he likes things the way they are now and doesn't want to make a girlfriend/boyfriend commitment. He might also think that things won't be the same between the both of you if you become more than just bestfriends.

I would stay friends because mostly when you date a good friend like that and then you guys break up you wont be as good of friends and i think that it would be better to be Friends then dating and losing a what sounds to be a very good relationship

It sounds to me like you have some strong feeling for you, and by what you said about him, it sounds like he feels the same way about you. I think you should tell him how you feel.

does it matter? y don't u guys just enjoy being friends? friends always last soooooo much longer than boyfriends. i know u've probably heard your mom say that, but its so true. dont rush into anything. just enjoy ;-)

If you think about him constantly, can't imagine a day without seeing him, or talking to him, if your happy with constantly when he’s around?, if you hear the phone ring, and hope its him. answer these questions, and you’ll see if you love him or not.
