Are you depressed, or are you sad? I agree with the guy above -- sometimes you need to cry things out. Have a good cry, wash your face, take an aspirin and then take a nap. If you are still crying (or the crying lasts more than a day), call a hotline to talk to a real person.

If you are feeling suicidal, though, call a hotline now. They can help.

It's OK to be sad and depressed. But then you need to find the strength to move on.

If you are feeling suicidal, please call the Suicide Hotline immediately at 1-800-SUICIDE. Otherwise, if this is serious depression that has lasted for weeks and is disrupting your daily routines, please call a doctor or mental health professional and make an appointment to get some help. If you're sad right now, but for the most part have been okay the rest of the time, try calling a trusted friend to talk or try distracting yourself with a favorite book, TV show, or movie, or try taking a brisk walk (exercise has been shown to be as effective a treatment for depression as some medications, so regular exercise is vital for a healthy mood).

I wish I could help more -- hang in there, kiddo.

Is there an obstacle you can't see your way around or over? Do you have a reason to be crying, feeling helpless? That's a hard place to be, and it might help to find a counsellor or minister, someone to maybe give you another way to look at the situation. Sometimes it helps.
I went to a doctor once because I had cried for four days and four nights and had nothing to cry about. He didn't know either. But when they tested me for allergies, and tested me for shrimp, I teared up and asked what that test was for. She said Shrimp, and during that crying spell we'd been seining for shrimp; when you catch them by the net-full, you have a cookout and invite everyone.
It's like eating rubber to me, but the sauce made it okay, so I ate them just to be sociable. I know not to eat them now.

Make Life More Enjoyable
- Old telephone books make ideal personal address books. Simply cross out the names and addresses of people you don't know.

- Fool other drivers into thinking you have an expensive car phone by holding an old TV or video remote control up to your ear and occasionally swerving across the road and mounting the curb.

- Avoid parking tickets by leaving your windshield wipers turned to fast wipe whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

- No time for a bath? Wrap yourself in masking tape and remove the dirt by simply peeling it off.

- Apply red nail polish to your nails before clipping them. The red nails will be much easier to spot on your bathroom carpet. (Unless you have a red carpet, in which case a contrasting polish should be selected).

- If a person is choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a jug of boiling water down their throat and presto! The blockage is almost instantly removed.

cheer up
- Reality is the only obstacle to happiness.

Cry, and cry some more, until you just can't cry anymore. Take a nap, dream of whatever it is that is bothering you so much. It is proven that we work things out while we are sleeping. Hope you feel better soon.

Well i guess that would be a matter of if you know what is upsetting and depressing you, as to what you do. If you share, we might be able to help. Sometimes just talking about the issue itsself is enough of a help.
