I think you mean petuchiae, which are spots where the small blood vessels break and bleed. And yes, you should discuss this with your doctor as soon as possible. Bleeding and bruising are rare side effects of this drug. Don't just stop taking it, but call your doctor and see him either today or tomorrow. It may not be due to the drug, but your doctor is the one who can best make that evaluation. It is a matter for concern, though it is not a reason to panic and run for the ER. But do see your doctor in the next day or so.

You've developed what? Never heard of that. I started Lyrica about 3 weeks ago,and so far, nothing. Not sure what,if anything I'm supposed to feel, but only makes me drowsy.

Unusual bleeding or bruising is a very rare but SERIOUS side effect of lyrica. Don't stop taking the medication, as stopping suddenly may not be safe, but call your doctor IMMEDIATELY to report this and get it checked out, just to be on the safe side.

No, petechiae (burst capillaries that produce small red spots on the skin) can come from my factors. Did you have blood drawn recently, Are they itchy?
Lyrica does not prdouce petechiae, the issue may be from your condition.
If you develop bruising or easy bleeding, contact you dr soon.

Anytime you start a new prescription medication and have a definite side effect to it - you need to immediately notify they physician who prescribed it to you. Check with your doctor asap. Often times a side effect can worsen or additional one's will crop up and they can make you sick, leave you with permanent damage or worse. Call your MD.
