i've been coloring my hair with a sharpie, and it washes out fine, but will it damage my hair? (by the way, it looks very kool to have red and blue and purple streaks in long blondish hair)

I wouldnt do this anymore. There are other ways you can color strands of your hand without using ink. Food dye...which is totally save. Food dye is put in food and you eat it...so you know it will be safe on hair. Just get yourself a bowl and a sponge...and take strands of your hair and hold the hair you want colored and slide it down until it is all colored. It washes out really easy.

I don't think that sharpies will hurt your hair. Sounds like a cool way to color your hair without the commitment that everyone has commented on. Sharpies can be toxic IF taken internally. It's not going to do much to your hair except maybe dry it out, so make sure to condition your hair well. My best friend and I used to draw on each other with colored sharpies all the time (and she's a nature-freak, into everything being natural around her, and she still used them). Also, if you ever think of getting a tattoo, have someone draw/trace the tattoo on you with the sharpie. It will last until you wash it off, plus you can see if you'd want the tattoo or not!

Use Kool Ade powdered drink mix... No, seriously!

It is more natural, (Since you can actually ingest it.) and lasts longer. Prettier colors too... Just don't get it on anything else... Clothing or your moms bathroom rug or towels because she'll kill you and I don't want to be responsable for your untimely death because of bathroom destruction due to lime Green Kool ade !

I used to use Manic Panic...

Ya I think eventually it will.If you want to use something to streak your hair go to a store that sells beauty products. They have these tubes of stuff like mascara but they come in all different colors. And are meant for hair.

No, have fun, LOL I have used sharpies to cover up a beach spot on my skirt. Some girls color their nails with them.

Not at all, in a few years you will not have any hair to worry about, go ahead whilst you still have some.
When it's all dead and falls out from the toxins that have soaked into your skull from the ink you can always buy a wig.

Nope, I used to colour my hair with markers all the time when I was younger.

It probably will.
Imagine the smell and the toxins.
I would say, use a real highlighter or at least a magic marker.
