I'm scared.?

My last ex I was in LOVE with and now I'm scared to start dating again. I have a great beau right now and I know that, but I just don't know if I'm being fair to him. I'm holding back when he is giving him whole self over to me. I love him, but like I said, I'm holding back. How can I let go of the past and look forward to the future I have w/ my new bf?

You do not say what the issue from the past is---or what you are scared of---but living in the past and in fear might be right at this time if there are real reasons to do so. Not all men are bad news---give each one a fair evaluation--and a good amount of time to prove they are worthy of you. That is a mature way to find a proper mate. But then you cannot live in the past---only learn from it---so you need to move on and make for a better future. You are the only one who can choose when the time is right to move on, with caution. Now if things are not going smooth or a guy turns out to be bad, get away from him and find another--you have got to keep trying. Well, that's tough! I could relate to your situation very well. the first thing you should do...Love yourself. You are a great woman with amazing qualities, that is why your current bf is crazy about you. Let go of the past. Start living with the present. Your EX might be your great love, but it doesn't follow that he will be your only love.

I used to be like that, I would always push guys back whenever I felt they were getting close. Well I am now engaged and I tried pushing him back when we first were dating and he stuck around, that's how I knew he is the one for me.
