My husband had his biometrics appointment three weeks ago for his work permit and adjustment of status and was not told how long it would be before he got the work permit. How much longer should it be before he gets it? Also, how much longer till we have to go for his adjustment of status interview?

We applied for everything in the middle of september last year. the biometrics appt was done in october, he received his work permit (actually alien registration card - allowing him to get a social security number) at the end of december, and we just received notice that our immigration interview is in the first week of march.

Usually the Employment Authorization card arrives within 60-90 days from the Biometrics appointment. It varies all the time, no set rules. Most Adjustment of Status cases are taking less then a year to complete at the moment. Not all though, just most. Good luck!
