Is it aerobics or weight training that has the benefit of stimulating the metabolism throughout the day if done in the morning??

Both exercises, when done in the morning before breakfast, may burn excess calories (and fat) we got from supper. So it good programme to loose weight, as long as you eat good breakfast afterwards.
In relation to stimulating metabolism, it depends on what you eat at breakfast. Try to count the calories, vitamins, etc etc to recover the used energy.
And remember not to overdo your exercises, because you'll may loose too much energy and wouldn't have the strength to do daily activities.

I don't know where these people are getting their information, but they're backwards. Weight training is what keeps your metabolism up all hours, especially during rest, through a process called anabolic growth. Anabolic growth is essentially the repairing and building of lean muscle mass. Cardio's great for added calorie burn and you'll get a little anabolic with it when starting out, though at a point it becomes catabolic. After the cardio workout, your metabolism settles down after a few hours and you're back at your resting heart rate and metabolism.

Most intense and serious athletes incorporate at least some weight training. If you could do both, perhaps alternating days, you'll see the most gains. Weights shouldn't be done every day anyway.

Pretty positive it's aerobics. Weight training is basically designed to build muscles. But aerobics (if done properly) will be better for your metabolism. It takes out more energy and speeds up your metabolism. I can't remember specific details but I saw a video on it.

Just remember not to over do it with aerobic exercises. It's important to remember that you don't need to be suffocating to get such benefits. You just need to be at a right pace somewhere between not being able to breathe and being able to talk to someone easily.

Technically both will do that. Strength training will produce muscle and that muscle will burn fat, and aerobics will heighten your metabolic rate, they are both great for the morning. Try both, they both have the result of producing a higher metabolic rate.

Aerobics burns more calories, E.G. faster metabolism. Weight training builds muscle mass.

All exercises have the same effect.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

both will help.

in the long run resistance training is better. aerobics doesn't provide the same increases in testosterone and growth hormone output that resistance training does. it also doesn't increase bone density as much as resistance training. or the same increases in muscle, tendon and ligament tensile strength. and it doesn't increase functional strength or lean body mass as much as resistance training.

* resistance training does everything that aerobics does and a lot more.

there is a common misconception that lifting weights gets you "big", which is completely untrue. you have to eat "big" to get big and it doesn't happen by accident. people that aren't big think it's so simple to get that way but trust me it isn't. nobody that you see in the gym with a lot of muscles either male or female got that way by accident. your muscles do not constantly grow larger unless you keep increasing your caloric intake, it's that cut and dry.

Both will help, but weight training will set your metabolism on high for the day. Muscles burn way more calories.

aerobics will get ur heart pumping and u'll continue to burn calories at an increased amount for limited amount of time after u stop.

when u lift weights and build muscle, the more muscle (vs fat) u have the more calories u'll burn all day even just sitting on ur butt.
