My fiance has some kind of disability but his mother will not really tell us, so my mother has gone to dr and he has read over his records, and there is a problem, and he does not know what is wrong.

How old is he? I assume he’s an adult, so why is Mom still handling his medical care? All he has to do is ask the doctor what’s wrong with him…right? Although frankly I find it hard to believe that he doesn’t have a clue, but I guess it could be possible. Of course, it could also be possible that he does know and just doesn’t want to tell you.

First of all, what the he** is YOUR mother doing reading HIS medical records?? That is illegal!! I hope your "fiance" sues the a** off that Doctor cause he's asking for it.

Why don't you know his disability?? You're his fiance, try asking him instead of sending your mom.

And his mom most likely isn't saying because it's not her place! If he wanted you to know, he would tell you. Take it up with him.

Geez!

p.s. NO WHERE in your question, did it say that HE didn't know what it was... It's very hard to believe that someone can have a disability and NOT know what it is. If it's not important enough to make it into his medical records, then it's probably not something to worry about. I work in the medical field, too.

Good luck, cause I get the feeling you're gonna need it.

You need to bring this up with him. He is an adult if he's old enough to marry. This "disability" could be something that to you would seem nothing and be totally embarrassing to him. His mother has nothing in this, it's not her place to tell anyone anything private. It's also none of your mothers business. If you're going to marry him you need to know stuff like this and it needs to be kept private if that's what he wants, but YOU and only you have a right to know, NOT your entire family!
