2 things have helped me - but it never fully goes away.

1. Being very prepared
2. Saying to the people that I am a little nervous instead of trying to hide it. Then you can take your attention off that as you get warmed up.

Even pro speakers use Toastmasters.

Eye Movement Integration

There are a number of health things you can do. Dietary and mental exercises that will help reduce stress for any stressful situation.

However the clear winner in the stress reducer category is….

EMI

Simply face your head straight in front of you. With out moving your head, look at and follow the lines of an imaginary X that extends to all four quadrants of your visual field. Then outline the X with a box and follow those lines.

Do the movement slowly and consistently. Repeat Eight times.

You will notice a sensation the first time doing it.

That sensation is in simplest terms, the turning on of the lights in the mind.

Our thoughts are 4 volts of electricity going back and forth within our grey and white matter. Anxiety is the result of a loop that causes the same thought to re-play over and over like a broken record or a CD with a flaw that will not allow the reader to progress.

What if you could stop the skip or allow the CD reader to progress automatically. What if you could access the thought process through a different path way to accomplish this?

Other studies and anecdotal tests reported that if you go through the back door of your thoughts ( Asking the question how does it not work? ) answers are more readily available.

EMI takes it a step farther. It turns on all the lights in the brain, in effect firing and connecting all the different processes and processors. It does this by using the eyes to stimulate neuro-transmissions which allows the brain do what it does best. Solve problems, like how to act as a stress reducer.

Do this when you practice and do it just before you give it.

Best wishes...

I have always been like that...The minute I start talkin my voice would tremble and I would forget what to say. Recently, I had to present a research thesis and I actually did very well. I PRACTICED alot before hand. Present to close family or friends..do it in front af a mirror so you can get confident about what your saying. The more YOu practice the easier it is to talk.

it's a question of perception

most of the time your audience doesn't pick up on the fact that you are nervous

you are your own worse critique and make yourself nervous

the only way to avoid it is to speak more often and learn from the French YOU ARE A GOD AND YOU RULE YOUR AUDIENCE!!! YOU ROCK MAN :)

the audience believes what you believe; believe in yourself and we will too

NEVER EVER EVER tell your audience that you're a little nervous! ever! it's a disclaimer letting them know that you're gonna suck, if you say you're nervous you will loose ALL of your credibility instantly

Picture everyone in their underwear, it really works. Or try not looking at anyone in the room, look past them like at the back of the building.

Think of the AUDIENCE in their UNDERWEAR, or NAKED, if the 2nd ANSWER is BEST for YA!!
