Last year I got a single red rose and a collectible book of "The Hobbit" from a guy (he knew I loved to read and that I liked that kind of book). It was a very simple, but thoughtful gift, and we started dating a week later and have been together ever since!
Girls love gifts that prove you have put some thought into it. Jewelry and stuff is nice to get but for the most part I would way rather get something that shows that you have really done your homework and know what the object of your affection likes.

as a present: flowers, but be careful, some know the flower language, and might read too much into that. Best of all though is chocolates. If you're serious, maybe a pretty bracelet.
Personally, I'd just like to recieve a date this year.

I'm conventional.
Flowers, always a good choice.
Chocolate, good but fattening...
Scented Candles, they set a good romantic mood and smell good.
Jewlery, always good...but not always the right gift for everyone. Depends if you can afford something like that. I'd rather get no jewelry than some sucky cracker-jack trinket.
Gift certificate to Victoria's Secret, sexy gift and everyone win's *wink wink*

Why should I give you the secret of what makes women tick when men don't help the women out and hold on to the secret code? I give. I will help you out. Guess what my friend, not all women want the bling bling. Those who require it, you need to run far far away. Be considerate of your gift. You want to earn points? Pay attention when she has talked. Women are notorious for telling their dreams and fantasies. Think back about something your lady has said. Pick a part of a story you may of halfed listened. Something so senseless to you, she may of mentioned. For instance, She may of said something like,: Wow you know what I love the most? WHEN FALL COMES AND THE LEAVES ARE SO COLORFUL ON THE TREES. It may of seemed senseless to you at the time, but that was just her being her. Bottom line my friend, think back of all the talks you and her have had, when she revealed her inner thoughts. If you were in coma and drooling when she did so, you should of tivo'd it. Think back however and pick something out from one of her conversations that may of seemed meaningless to you but meant something to her. That is what you create the perfect gift around. When you give her the gift, then you can say to her, I remember when you talked about this and this is why I am presenting this gift to you. She will be puddy in your hand trust me, because she will think WOW he really listens to me.

Well what puts smiles on most of my friends faces is when some guy gets them something as simple as a teddybear...its the thought that really counts. I would suggest, jewlery,candy or roses and a really nice poem.

Jewelry!! Always a hit. When in doubt, buy jewelry. It could be a $30 necklace or a $10 pair of earrings from Claires. It doesn't have to be 100's of dollars. But kuddos to you if it is!

What ever HER favorite flower is, not necessarily roses, like what most guys think. My favorite is an exotic, and my man and son both know what it is.
Otherwise, dinner is a great evening along with nice attention, not sexual unless the mood leads taht way.

If you really want to score some points show up with a box of godiva chocolate and flowers take her out to dinner then make love to her im not talking animal sex im this means no ******** and anal just a slow loving sex session with extra attention to her needs that means give her some oral and make sure she gets off before you roll over and go to sleep lol

I personally am not a huge fan of flowers. The thought is nice, but they're pretty much useless. I LOVE it when my valentine gives me chocolates!

Hmm, the typical tradtional stuff I guess, roses, chocolate and a dinner.
But i personally like creativity and something that shows that the gift was well thought of etc........or the date was well planned out..
