what is your ideal partner, someone to complete you because he/she has everything u don't have OR someone who shares same interests with you?

i think ones ideal partner would be your opposite, because they complete the things u do not posses, if u choose someone exactly like u u are going to have the same problems u have with yourself. someone like u will have everyone of your bad characteristics and that will eventually create problems, u will notice in them what u don't like in yourself.

similar intrests ussually work out in the long run. less arguments, less stress when you have the same common goal. it takes a very special and dedicated type of person (people) to make the opposites attract thing work and work well. there's no such thing as "this person COMPLETES me." but there is a such thing as "this person COMPLIMENTS me" and thats what happens when you find someone similar to yourself. not everyone is the same so chances are even though you liek the same things you will differ slightly in strengths and weaknesses enough to make up for each other.

You will never be completely opposite or the same. So a good mixture of stuff is ideal. If u are too similar u will get bored, and i yall are too different yall will not be able to relate to each other.

I believe there has to be a nice in between. For instance, most of your friends are your friends because you enjoy the same things. We're all simply attracted to people that we have things in common with. At the same time, there's nothing more disgusting than those couples that wear matching clothes and finish eachothers sentences.

I definetely would say birds of the same feather. My two past boyfriends have been way more outgoing than me and we just didn't understand each other that well. Therefore, I am now looking for someone more serious and shy, and more like me.

id say a mix.. the dudes i like like the stuff i like.. but we dont do any of the same things.. like.. the dude i've got a crush on (not a serious one because i dont know him.. but i think he's sexy) Is a sweet, sweet dude, who was already shy, but now's become silent because he lost his little sister in december (she was my age, her and a teacher were killed in a car accident) and only speaks to his friends. but newayz, He's got the long, skater hair.. he's got PRETTY BLUE EYES!!! he paints his nails black ( i have been doing that since 8th grade). and wears awesome clothes that i LOVE!
again, i dont know him so its not really a crush,but he fits the description i like.. Sweet, adorable cute-not handsome-, and is a skater/emo.. perfect!
*of course.. my closest guy fits that description even better.. but i don't like him.. its all depending on the people involved.. sorry*
