I have 2 cats brother and a sister. They both have been fixed. The male cat is twice the size of my female. He keeps thinking he can have relations with her. He jumps on her back and holds her down and performs the action. My husband and I yell at him. Sometimes she cry's I don't know if he is hurting her. He holds her by the back of her neck. He don't enter because he can't, but in his mind he has these feelings. What can I do to stop him?

Mounting another cat is a cat's way of establishing dominance and saying, "I am ALPHA cat around here." My 9 yr old neutered male does that all the time to my 1 yr old neutered male. Doesn't hurt him although the little one will protest now and again. I just break it up by clapping my hands real loud or distract the cats with a feather teaser or other cat toy. I noticed that ever since I have been interrupting the 9 yr old's bad behavior or mounting, he has been doing it less and less.

How long has it been since they were fixed? It takes a couple of months for the hormones to get out of their system. Also maybe there was a remnant of testicle left behind, or if he only had 1 visible, then the other one would still be up in his belly giving him these urges. Either way, you could have a testosterone level done a few months after the surgery and see if that's the problem.

The jumping on her sounds like mating, particularly if he's biting the back of her neck, that's usually a sexual thing. Vinegar water is NOT good, but plain water in a squirt bottle may help, I keep cans of spray air (like you dust the keyboard with) around the house because my little idiot doesn't care if he's wet, and the air doesn't make a mess when my toddler gets ahold of it. But the sound sure scares the crap outta Piter!

The female cat yells, that is normal.

I have a male kitten that will hump my leg in bed and my vet told me to bring a squirt bottle to bed with me to stop him. He was fixed when I adopted him at 2 months old. He will look at me like what the heck are you doing? It took about 4 squirts at first. Then less. It seemed to work after a few tries. Then after a few months, he would try it again, and I didn't have the squirt bottle with me, so I just had to sort of "kick" him off the bed. He hasn't done it since. He is now 8 months old. He might try it again in a month or so. I don't know another alternative when he is with another cat besides the squirt bottle.

Are you sure your male was completely neutered? They only do that when they're intact, and sometimes vets miss a ball when the fix them, because the balls retract into the body. There's even a case of a vet removeing a kidney instead. It's a very real possibility, it's happened before. Cats don't dominate by humping like dogs do. Talk to a vet, preferably one different than the one who did the neutering.

Your male might have been a little more mature then you thought before he was fixed, so he still has the feelings. As for his actions on the girl that is how the male holds her down to breed. My cat loves to play in water but he hates the spray bottle, when he is in his frisky mood you might try spraying him but you have to put it on stream, the mist won't do a thing . I hope this helps. good luck.

Talk to your vet about this. I don't think it is normal behavior for a fixed cat. I've never seen or heard of anything like this. I bet you have you hands full. But ask your vet about this behavior and yes the water should work. More of a squirt then a spray tho. Good luck.

He is a male cat, he has a penis, so he can have intercourse, but he has no testicles so he cannot impregnate her.

The penis of a cat has small barbs that scrape the female when pulled out, this is what causes the female to ovulate.

She cries because he is hurting her, keep him caged, or spray him with vinegar water whenever he gets near her. Or get rid of him although I usually say that when you get a cat you should make a lifelong commitment.

when they fix a cat, they dont take all of the "urges" out of him. the physical parts of the cat that make him want to do the deed are still there. the best thing ou can do is keep an eye out and squirt him with a water bottle to get him off of his sister.

stupid redneck cats.

Oh he can enter alright. Fixed just means he can't shoot sperm. If they have just been fixed recently, they will grow out of it in a few months. The raging hormones have to settle down.
