And belive that Jesus was the greatest prophet...but not the son of God...The first Commandment states "Thou shalt have no Gods before me". The Holy Trinity was invented after the "Four great Councils", or "The eight general councils"... and instituted in 451 AD... After that any priest (the majority) who would not accept and preach this doctrine were killed as heritics. Read any encyclopedia its common knowledge that the Bible was edited adding this view...and no actual person in the Bible said anything about this until it was added. (Holy Trinity)..I am not trying to bash anyones beliefs, and there are many paths to God. I am just trying to find some people like myself who belive that the way to God is through God , and Jesus was the greatest prophet no more no less.

Everything said attributed to every apostle God or Jesus himself has been edited to empower Athanasius and his small group of followers who invented the holy trinity...then every holy man who did not agree was murdered or imprisioned...i can not belive that Gods true word could be spread this way...

Yes there is such religion its called Judaism.
We do not believe Jesus to be the Messiah, just some Jew who had opinions. You know what they say two Jews three opinions.
In regard to the bible try reading the Torah from an Artscroll Chumash it will give you the old Testament (as the Christians call it) and commentaries on the bottom of the page of what each line means based on the oral law and all other laws. If you cant find it (try local synagogues) or go to Chabad.org.
What is interesting about the Torah is that archeologists found in Israel Torah Scroll that was written in 50 BCE (before common era) and compared to the one written today. It was 100% the same. All the words were the same size, the periods and the commas were at the same spot as today’s. Also look at the sea scrolls as example they have not been altered or changed. And compared them to the same scrolls that Jews write today or compare them even to the ones that were written few centuries back and you will find exactly the same thing not altered.
Also to answer High Flyer the "we part of the creation" God is talking to His angels and to the animals that He has created. Not to any Holy Spirit.
Also read Deut chapter 6.
Hear oh Israel God is one and will Always be One.
I hope that this line will guide you to a true path.
Also to be fair try Islam. Islam follows the 10 Commandments and believes that Jesus was a prophet, but Muhammad was the last. Islam means to submit to Allah.
You can email Muslims if you want to find out more. However Islam was established in 632 ACE. It is the youngest religion to be of shoot from Judaism. The Koran like Torah had not been changed since it was compiled by Muhammad and his grandsons during the Seventh Century.

Well no person added the "holy trinity" in the bible. It's taken from the context. Jesus said the he and the father are one. It is also stated that he is the incarnate of the word of God, which I believe is his devine essence. The power of God is in his word. And of course the holy spirit makes up the the third of the three which are distinct yet inseparable. I also want to give you this piece of scripture which hints that Jesus is God. This is considered messianic prophecy, but of course everyone has his or her own opinion. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Some temples within the Jewish faith take a view similar to this. I'm not sure what else you might find. The world is kind of split into Jews who follow the Torah and the Christians who follow the New Testament, there isn't a real place for someone in the middle. I would talk to a jewish rabbi, they could really help give you some direction. Without the belief that Jesus is God, you are still technically a Jew (ifyou believe and try to follow the Old Testament). A temple coul help you find where you fit in and someone who believes like you.

The Bible had alrady been translated into the common language of the people by the end of the 4th century.
Everyone already knew what the accepted Bible texts contained, going back hundreds of years before that, and the concept of the Holy Trinity was always clearly represented.
Only the precise definition remained to be decided on.
Your theory is absolutely and positively wrong.

I am close to the same beliefs. Jesus did say "our father who art in Heaven" -- so in that sense, Jesus is saying that he and we are the sons, or daughters of our "creator" or "Our scientific Father in Heaven"
Now, I do have one problem that indicates Jesus came from Planet H (heaven) a planet with a 9 billion year headstart on Earth; scientifically, technologically, and of course evolutionarily.
To wit: Jesus promised that after he left Earth, he would send the Holy Spirit to witness the validity of all that Jesus had said while he was on this Earth. And guess what? When you or I ask for that Holy Spirit, it does actually witness to us mentally, emotionally, and even physically within our bodies --- by mental telepathy and telekinesis.
OH well, this was just a note to let you know, that I am a Christian (I try to follow Jesus' instructions) and I do not buy into Religious Empires.
For more information in tune to your question, you might search "essenes". Be sure to go original essenes during Jesus' time, not the modern essenes of church of christ or Nazarenes.

Jesus was NOT a prophet. How many prophets claim as their main point that they are God? If he is correct, which he must be if he is a great prophet, then that would make him God, which you claim he isn't.
Well? Which is it? Is he God or a liar? In either case, he is definitely not a prophet.
Oh, and claiming something is "common knowledge" doesn't make it common nor knowledge. Remember how the world was flat and man couldn't travel to the moon and couldn't run a 4 minute mile? What shape does the world have? Seriously doubt we've been to the moon? What's the current world record for the mile?

If you review the book of Genesis, which predates you councils, you'll find God speaking as "we". That should lead you to believe in at least two personages. And since the bible (which as a whole, still predates your councils) makes frequent references to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, how can come to any other conclusion than there is a Trinity?

You will find that the predominant religious group in any country tries to assert it's influence over the government and general population. I was talking to a girl I met on Y!A who lives in Saudi Arabia who said she and cannot even go outside of her home unless she is escorted by a male family member, and she's ok with it. So wherever the muslims are in the majority you will find them demanding an Islamist state. So the Christian Right here in America tries to influence people to vote for their beliefs, but you don't see them strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up the super market.

You actually follow the 10 commandments???? You sound pretty Self righteous to me. Second, we have found thousands of manuscripts, copies of the orginial works of the book of the Bible, that were written before those councils, and they say the same thing as the ones found after them. They say the same thing as the bible that I have on my desk says. And that Bible says that Jesus is God in the flesh, and that there is only one way to Heaven, and that is through faith in Christ.

Mar 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
