Think of it this way. Most 'normal' balanced people don't 'want to become Anorexic'. A 'normal' person would say they want to lose weight and diet/exercise more, but they would not have an urge to become Anorexic and they would never go to such extreme and dangerous lengths to lose weight.

Just the mindset of wanting to resort to such a drastic measures to lose weight is a symptom of having a serious body image obsession, which can turn into full blown Anorexia if left untreated. It is that obsessive tendancy, that extreme feeling of desparation to be thin and knowing you will go to any length to get there, which puts you at risk of developing Anorexia.

Hope this makes sense : )

It slows becuase you're in starvation mode. imagine of the holocaust survivors- many were residing on merely watery soup and somewhat bread and water. After the conflict, many received a lot of weight, partly because their metabolism. once you're starvation mode, like in anorexia, you body "holds on" to each and every calorie. that's why many anorexics, even with in the adventure that they are eating in user-friendly words 500 energy an afternoon, do not die. notwithstanding, that is VERYVERYVERYVERY risky! the known American eats almost 3000 energy, at the same time as merely over 2000 are mandatory for most human beings. So i do not recognize how a lot of a binge you mean, notwithstanding the point is that anorexia is very risky and destroys your metabolism and body. you mustn't in any respect bypass on a eating routine of decrease than 1500 energy an afternoon, EVER. you want to power to exercising, that's an major area of any weightloss plan!

Third answer is good, but anorexia doesn't occur just because a person thinks he's fat. My mother (at 82)could not stand the sight or smell of food, and lost 40-50 pounds. With that, her saliva was rubbery, would not separate to wipe off with a Kleenex. I had to wrap it around the kleenex til it broke off. I think the nystatin had something to do with it clearing up. She gained the weight back and died from cancer many months later.

Anorexia occurs when one has a mental state of self belief that they are fat and refuses to eat according to that. Certain personality traits are more prone to anorexia than others, such as those with the ability to refuse food and excessively exersise. Anorexia forms, but certain people are more susetible to it. Meaning anorexia can form in almost anyone but has a much less possibility to form in some people than in others.

Its a psychological problem.

If you want to be, theres obviously a problem.
