Hello, im 17, and lately i felt the urge to get fit, with exercises and such, i currently weight 180 (i was 164 two months ago), and i wanna change that, and follow a healthy lifestyle, so far i'm TRYING to eat less but, *smething that i hate and I'M aware of it when its happening even though i know is not good*, is that when after i eat the nescesary, a couple oh hours goes on and i get rly hungry, and just eat anything thats on the fridge, just so i could end up the hungries, which happens most of the time =\, also so far i been doing 30 mins of exercise everyday which is mostly consist of push-ups and sit-ups, but i dont know what else todo.

--please give me tips on a good diet for a guy that had been eating well anything for 17 yrs and other types of work-out i could do everyday.

im a 16 year old teen guy btw and yea i did my research.
lol first of all dont begin a diet. doing that might restrict your vitamin/mineral intake. before starting to do anything, consult with your physician- doctors know best. also check your BMI to see if you seem to be getting overweight. aiite so:
1. take a multivitamin pill (mebe Centrum)
2. make healthier choices when buying foods (ex. low fat/ fatfree yogurt, baked chips, ur favorite fruits, low fat/fatfree cheese)
3. look at nutritional labels and ingredients (watch out for partially hydrogenated --- oil and waaay too much sodium)- a reasonable snack should be around 3-5 grams of fat per serving.
4. START SLOW! i lost weight myself so i know wat happens. u may not notice it but others do, u may experience mood swings. begin to increase the intensity of ur workout.
5. to become fit, u need about an hour of physical activity. pick up a sport that interests you. it can be football, swimming, tennis, running, etc...
6. maybe buy a pedometer- check how much u walk in one week. then start placing reasonable goals for yourself.
7. sleep! 8-9 hours of sleep can make your body refreshed and ready to work.
for your hunger problem, i recommend eating healthy foods. fruits, baked chips, yogurt, or a handful of nuts should help. be sure to drink about 8-16 fl. oz. of water after a snack. it'll keep your stomach filled.
-remember, this is a life habit. and do remember to give yourself a treat once in a while! good luck with your progress in the future.
