What unexpected foods does your cat like? Mine has a thing for corn, of all things.

My poor little skitty-kitty is in kitty heaven now, but he was the sweetest little kitty ever! Anyway his absolute FAVORITE was cold chocolate milk!! He loved it so much that I began putting it in his bowl, but alas, he would not drink it from his little bowl. He would only drink it from the glass *I* was drinking from.

I miss you, little skitty-kitty! I hope you are drinking nice chocolate milk right now, but with fluffy marshmallow cream!

PS I know it is not really a *food*, but I hope it counts!
Love to your little "corn-fed kitty"!!

Mine like corn, lasagne, about any deli meats, peanut butter, ice cream, butter, club crackers, chicken soup, tuna, steak, garlic bologna... and the list can go on.

If I'm eating, they want to try it. I usually let them. I let them have a little, but don't allow them to make a meal of whatever it is they get a taste for. People food is not the best for pets. So, a little goes a long way.

Eggplant (cooked).
Cheerios.
Granola.
Cheese.
Milk, cream. (Er -- not so unexpected...)
Ice cream.

Surprisingly, pasta with butter and romano and parmesan was so popular that I now put a few strands in a cat bowl when I make it. Seeing a cat slurp up spaghetti strands is great fun.

The eggplant came as quite the surprise... That was the sophistikitty who eats the above-mentioned pasta. The other will eat as much of _any_ dairy product as you let him, but nothing so weird as eggplant.

My cat loved corn leaves (it's not good for them though). Most seem to like popcorn even without the butter or salt. A cat I knew liked apricot flavored jellybeans, and water that had had carrots soaked in it.

Corn? That's probably becuase you feed kitty dry cat food which does contain corn grain! Likely, kitty recognizes the scent of corn kernels! hee hee hee. My cat used to eat bits of carrot and cabbage and pieces of bread. He's stopped that now and I'm not really sure why. He used to beg for them when I had these items on my plate.

My mother in law's cat eats green olives, but leaves the pimento behind. My old female cat likes frosting and sundae topping, but not the cake or ice cream. My youngest has bottle-fed orphan issues and doesn't recognize anything but round and flat dry cat food as edible.
