The school scholarship is giving me 900 dollars. I want to put that money together with 150 dollars, I was saving so that I can get invisalign braces to fix my teeth. My mom says she needs the money to pay off some loans. It seems to me that my mom always needs money.
So, my mom said, "If you take that 900 dollars and don't give it to to me, just move out of my house because your not being fair if you say, I'll go to school and if they give me money, I'll take it." I don't know what to do? I have tried talking to her but she made up her decision.

You shouldn't allow money to come between you and your mom. Personally, I think your both wrong. If you are given $900. for school, you need to use it for school. I would forget the braces for now, and give her the $150.00 you've been saving, to help out. I would also suggest getting a part time job and tell your mom you will help her and save for your braces with your earned income. My nephew is 17, and also has a scholarship coming his way. He currently works part time at Best Buy, and tells me that depending on the hours he works, he takes home $200.00 - $500.00 every 2 weeks. It would be easier to have an agreement to get a p/t job and contribute $100.00 a month to the household, as opposed to moving out and paying rent, utilities, food, etc. -

What about using the money for your education? Forget the braces, forget the loans your mom says she needs to pay off. It sounds like when we see or get a whiff of money we go into a violent stupid attack.

Me and my mom fight over money allllllllll....ALLLLL the time...even when my mom makes up her mind i have her sit at the dinner table with me alone and say look lets do this so we both have money we split it as evenly as possible.... and we just reach a compromise thats what you have to do here...And since it's for school...worry for your education that way youll get a great job and buy your self braces and whatever else you want and need

if its your money then use it for what it is intended for not braces.. scholarship id for school by you spednign it fro braces means ur following her footsteps buy using it for things.. things u want.. her loans no doubt were fro thigns she charged and wanted.. so.. use it for school that is what it is for make a good living in the future and dont be in debt or have "loans" like her you got the scholarship wtf is wrong with her.. to use your education $$you can move out and be emancipated thru the court to live on ur own to get your money asigned legally to you before 18 ..then stay with a relative and explain this to them now... you mom cant use you for this.. it is wrong.. she should want u to do well u can get medicaid for dental.. get your life started 1st tho.. for gods sake be wise and dont end up like her..

I hate to say it because it doesn't seem fair...But, being that you are living under her roof...you're going to have to cough it up to her. Unless you can come to a compromise, and give her $450 or whatever you can agree on.If she's got any kindness at all in her...she'll go for that. Also remember, she is your mother,so that gives her the advantage of your respect for her.Right or Wrong.

I assume you’re an adult (in college) but Mom’s paying all the bills (housing, electricity, phone, internet, groceries, etc, right down to tiolet paper). The nerve of her for wanting you to actually contribute when you have some funds available!

I thought scholarships were to be used for your schooling. You're both wrong. Move out.
