Assuming she's nice/normal/non-crazy. Or are other factors very important?

Other factors are very important. Being hot and attracted to a guy will only take you so far. Other factors might include intelligence, wit and humor, background, social skills, political persuasion....the list goes on. That's why we go on dates...to find out if we're interested in continuing seeing that person.

The nice and normal stuff is assuming a lot.
If she's pretty, nice, but about as thick as an iron bar, I'm not so sure.
If she was average in everything but looks and was pretty, then maybe. But I'd still prefer personality over looks. As they say, looks fade, personalities grow.

...other factors are definitely important. But being pretty and interested is usually good in the short-term. ;)

Most guys will like a girl if she fits the above description AND if they are friends. If she's a stalker-type girl, then no. If they just randomly met, then probably not.

I have gone that way, liked a girl just because she liked me, even if I had barely noticed her before. It didn't work out, because the roots of the feelings weren't mutual.
