Alright, the story goes simply like this.
This girl had became my friend last spring due to a school trip, we formed a r/s over that time and when i came back to school, i realized i had a crush on her. I'm pretty obvious and she wanted to go to prom with me. I asked her with the idea we'd be going out after i asked her, yet nothing. Now that shes gotten a prom date, she only really talks to me when i iniate and she has really not given me the same attention as before. Some of her friends tell me to keep pushing and that shes being stubborn but i dunno. The whole thing doesn't add up. I like her , i ask her for a date she backs out using a excuse. Do i have to ask her stright out if she likes me ? and if its a no than cancel our prom date cause i only wanted to go to prom with her under the pretence she be my gf. Any ideas of what shes thinking, does she like me, and what i should do about it either way thanks guys

When I read your question I got 'really' angry!
Mostly because I've seen it all before, and 'YES' this '*#*#* is using you for a date to
the prom.
Just think about it, surely you've got enough smarts to know that 'any' other girl would be/
and is willing to go out on other dates with their prom date.
And when a girl acts the way your date is acting
sure doesn't show any 'real' feelings for you.
All she wants is a date for the prom, and maybe you're the only hope she had of having a date that night.
Girls 'HATE' going to the prom if they don't have a date>
'SHE IS USING YOU", and I'd think about asking someone else to the prom, and tell
her "sorry', something else came up. I'll be taking someone else to the prom". then see how she reacts to that.
After all, you 'can' have excuses too, can't you!!

Sometimes girls can be silly and immature like that and we don't always know what we want. She probably did have friendly feelings toward you but nothing major. Since you said she already picked someone else to go with, I would just find someone else too. Maybe if she does still like you seeing you with someone else will make her change her mind. Ya never know. Just go with someone you will have a good time with. Proms can be either be a ton of fun or a real drag.
Hope yours is great! Have Fun!

Well, when your being obvious and really trying to get her to like you, that will only push her away more. Instead, just play it off like you don't really like her, but you don't mind spending time with her. Don't hesitate to talk to other girls when shes around and hopefully that will draw her in more. Just remember not to ignore her to much because then she'll just fade away completly. I think you sohuld go to the prom with her, be cool about what ever happens and maybe you guys can work up to something more. Don't push her into being your girlfriend. Good Luck

This kinda happened to me, sorry to say it didnt work out well, chances are she just an attention whore and you were the only guy she liked on the school trip. I'd dump before she beats you to it, sound mean i know, but you'll feel better she didnt do it to you.

some people get freaked out even as they first commence a romantic relationship after being acquaintances. without caution they act like they do no longer recognize what to do round you. per chance that is the case along with your lady. i imagine it is threat-free to assert to her, "when I requested you to promenade, i became asking you romantically, no longer only as a chum. You knew that, precise?" tell her you should go with to spend more desirable time jointly with her in the previous the promenade. See the position you bypass from there. good luck!

be cool... be calculated and slow. Don't lose your temper or demand she date you after the prom or you're gonna lose her... she likes you or she wouldn't have accepted your offer. Take it slow and blow her off from time to time. Women really LOVE guys who know how to not take them too seriously!
