You should be fine. It would depend on how much Motrin you took and how much you plan on drinking though. Doses of 600mg of Motrin or more can make you drowsy, as does alcohol, and if you're planning on drinking till you puke...well, puking and sleeping don't really go all that well together. :) If you took a couple standard tablets for a headache or something and want to have a beer or two, you should be fine.

I don't think that there is any harm in drinking alcohol if you took the recommended dosage provided on you motrin bottle. I usually take a couple Tylenol with a beer if I have a headache before bed or anytime really to relax. I've never had any ill effects.

Yes, you can drink without dying or getting sick. The problem with painkillers and alcohol lies with the person being a regular user of either. Like the warning label on the medicine bottle says, if you consume x amount of drinks a day, consult your physician. If you are planning on having one/two drinks, go ahead, you'll be fine. If you drink or use motrin regularly, you may want to steer clear of one or the other as it can cause stomach/liver damage.

After taking motrin, have some nutrition on your abdomen, and a couple of beers or some wine is ok to drink, however the main extreme factor is having nutrition in you. I constantly could consume first, then take the motrin, and that i did no longer drink very lots. in user-friendly terms a pair, and you will no longer get ill.

Silly kid........drugs are for adults.....if you don't know this answer you have to be a rookie to this so let me put ya down with the game. You will be fine as long as you don't go nuts and drink like 20 gallons of booze....the motrin will keep ya from getting a hangover, well maybe the headache part anyway but don't worrry...drink up and be happy.. I have taken every pill there ever was and drank too and look how perfect my life is...... I'm sitting here alone on yahoo answering your questions... I must be high right now.

I sometimes take Motrin after I drink, just to make sure I don't have a hangover!

youll be alright.
People are always rattling off how mixing alcohol and anything will kill you or send you in a coma. And theyre right.......in excess or if you make it a habit.
But taking one motrin and drinking some beer every great once in a while aint gonna kill you.

You may get sick or die from drinking the alcohol, but the the Motrin is already out of your system.
Unless you took way more than the recommended dosage.

you're alright with the motrin but your paranoia might be the end of you...i can see your concern if you took oxy-cotin or at least something w/ a narcotic in it..you could take 1600 mg of motrin and drink immediately...the only repercussion is constant drinking and motrin et al intake will cause liver damage(more so than drinking alone.)

You said Motrin not morphine, right? I am quite sure you are safe to take an NSAID like ibuprofen and still drink booze.....as long as you are not on some sort of blood thinning drug like Coumadin.
