I have a 18lb male cat and he has eaten off of every house plant I have ever had, he is still alive so I'm not sure what will hurt them. He even goes after the fake ones. So I bought him the cat food for indoor cats, it has all the greens in it that a cat craves. But I don't have any house plants anymore. He ate them all. I guess that is why he is so fat.

You can buy already grown and potted cat grass at any pet store, which is okay for cats to eat. Cat grass can reduce hairballs and also supplement a cat's diet with vitamins and minerals which are beneficial to their health. They can also eat nepeta (aka catnip). There are no negative effects to giving a cat catnip; they essentially get "high" when exposed to it (people sometimes use it as a mild substitute for marijuana).

My cats eat many of my pot plants unfortunately - but they are indoor cats so I know what they are eating. (ie no chemicals or pesticides)

Safe are:

cat grass, cat mint and catnip - try your local nursery for plants or they can be grown from seed.

My cats also love lemon grass and parsley (unfortunately) and haven't been sick from them but thats only my experience

you can buy some cat grass...only 5 dollars or so and you grow it yourself with these chia pet resembling things...dont trust anything outside, as you never know what factors could have affected the growth, even if you recognized what kind of plant it was

Most plants are toxic to felines. Go to google and do a web search and type in toxic plants to felines. There is a long list.

Ferns and Palms. They don't hurt my cats and they're 25 and 23 years old. They nibble on them all the time.
