It depends on where in Texas you live! I spent 8 years in Houston without allergy issues. I spent a year in College Station without allergy issues. I spent 3 months in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area without a problem. 2 years in Austin, and I was a-ok...

But for 2 years in San Antonio, the cedar season caused me to itch, my eyes to wather, dark circles to appear under my eyes, and a nasty cough....

Bottom line -- it depends on what you're allergic to and just how much of it is in the city of your choice.

I will say, though, that medicines like Zyrtec really helped clear that up for me!

Actually it is a good state to live in because of the humidity, it does not have the same affect on allergies as the colder areas. Many people move to places like this because of allergies and other health conditions. I move to Texas when I left the services because I had very little problems with my allergies. then when i return to home, Ohio that got a lot worse.

I don't think there is a Perfect Place to Live. People who live in Texas and the other 49 have allergies.

I'm not sure about Texas but I know for certain Arkansas is not a good location for people with allergies. It has two major allergy pathways that cross.
