I have these brownish marks on my skin from where a scab was previously. I was too impatient to wait for the scab to fall off by itself so I kind of picked it off too early.. Now a mark remains. Does anyone know what I can do to make it go away?

Take extra doses of Vitamin C and D, soak the skin in tolerably hot water twice a day and then dry and apply a mix of half 100% aloe vera and half Neosporin triple antibiotic ointment. Leave open to air.

I've done that before, and they usually do fade in time. In the meanwhile you can try a moisturizer with Vitamin E which will help it heal faster. Products like Bio Oil are great for scars or marks, but for one little one, it's quite expensive. Try the vitamin E first off to keep costs down.

Those marks are scars. That's why they tell us not to pick our scabs, to minimize the scar. They have scar removing creams, though, I'm not sure if those work. I always thought a scar was like, forever, like it would fade but never completely disappear unless you went to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon for professional removal.

Vitamin E and Aloe vera are the so good for healing scars, ith no side effects. Do not pick your scabs next time and time will do the job....think positive and enjoy your life.

It will probably become a scar, which you cannot get rid of.. let the scab heal, until it comes off on its own.

rub vitamin E oil on it. Get the kind in the gel and break it open, if you keep doing that several times a day, or at least once a day, it will help with the scaring.

You can look for scar- or pigmant-reducing creams at your local Walgreen's or CVS. But it will fade over time until you can eventually no longer see it.
