yes, peanuts and all other nuts are good for you because they contain: the monounsaturated fat which have been linked to reducing risk of heart disease and bad cholesterol, fiber which slows down digestion and minimizes fat absorption, and several vitamins/minerals. though it has protein, it's not exactly a good source.

In general, yes. Peanuts are a good source of protein and contain many essential minerals. However, they are also high in fat. However again, the fat that is contained in peanuts is mostly unsaturated fats which are actually good for you.

So, unless you are trying very hard to cut down on overall fat intake, peanuts are a great choice. They are also a great replacement for other (worse) kinds of fat like that found in red meat.

According to mayoclinic.com, one fat serving of peanuts is only 10 nuts.
100g peanuts contain 24.3g protein, 2mg iron and 3mg zinc.
So, they're ok for you in small quantities but shouldn't be a major component of your diet.
My actual question is why you can't or didn't judge for yourself by reading the nutritional information on a bag of peanuts.

If you only eat a bit of peanuts, then it is alright. But too much peanuts can cause a large amount of fat, because peanuts are a source of fat.

very. All nuts are healthy for you. However, they are high caloric, so you don't want to over eat them. About a handful, would be an allowed serving.
