A 10% freshly made solution of bleach is commonly used as disinfectant. It does kill HIV virus. HIV is kind of fragile outside of the body, but it can exists on surfaces for an hour or so. It all depends on the surface and concentration of the virus particles. This bleach solution must be made fresh every day to be effective. It is commonly used in medical settings to disinfect surfaces.
Bleach is caustic! Do not use it in the body. It can kill you. Bleach is also a strong oxidizer. If you use too strong a concentration on your surfaces, it can damage them.

water and soap doesn't kill the virus. It can help get the virus off the surface and down the drain though. That's basically what you do when you wash your hands. You do not kill viruses, you just wipe them off your skin surface. The HIV virus is not airborne, and cannot live long without saliva or some liquid. Like a fish out of water. If you're paranoid, use bleach to clean the cup. If however, when you say cup, it's a euphemism for your v-j-j, then you are probably infected.

Interesting I never heard such a thing but i can tell u that when I had a spinal fusion my sutures got infected and the incision was cleaned with bleach swabs inserted into the wound to kill infection deep in the wound. The pain and sting was horrendous to say the least and it took four months of daily cleaning to get it all cured. I dreaded to see the nurse's when they arrived.

Yes bleach does kill this and many other viruses. Bleach is way too strong to be given to people because it kills other things too, like healthy cells. Even smelling too much or ingesting bleach is deadly because of hte chemicals in it.

HIV is very fragile.... it can't even survive outdise the body- like on a surface- thank god or we'd all have it!
Bleach kills lots of things, which is why we cant inject it into our bodies.....fire kills AIDS too.

Hospitals use bleach water to disinfect surfaces because bleach was the only product that completely killed the virus.
But you can't ingest or inject bleach. It was never intended for be taken internally and would cause burns and possibly death.
