God isn't attained by a color, but HE certainly IS colorful!

I like being in total darkness when I meditate, so I don't get distracted by anything in the room. In terms of color, white is associated with holy people or God. You could meditate on white, though I've heard colors in meditation are more an indication of state.

That is relative to all people you know... hehe...
But seriously, there is no color that brings us closer to God. We just think that white, blue or other light colors represent goodness and black and red represents evil. They were just man's fabrication. Every color is created by God so why does one color brings us closer to Him? In Islam, black symbolizes humility and they usually wear black to signify that they humble themselves before God. Whili in Christians, they signify purity as white... Well, I think God won't be minding what color you choose. As long as you r heart is pure.

None. I don't think God cares what color we wear. The first answerer apparently thinks Pro-active can help somehow. I don't think God cares if you have clear skin either. He'll love you the same in any case.

Dear Chuck: The colors that represent absolute communion with our Creator are Amethyst or White. These colors are seen as the energy of the highest Chakra (our energy centers) in the body, at the top of the head.
For advanced spiritual students who are accustomed to sitting quietly and communing with God, they may see the color of Amethyst or White swirling as an energy in their inner vision (eyes closed). Sometimes, upon opening the eyes you may see the color splashed against a wall or on the floor of the room you are in. This can last for a few moments.
Those two colors may also be seen surrounding them, by other people of highly spiritual nature who are looking closely at them.
The significant thing to remember is that the colors are from WITHIN ourselves and sometimes are projected outside of ourself, surrounding us, as an aura.
These two colors reflect your closeness to God at THAT moment ; but, they do not, by staring at them outside of yourself take you closer to God, that I know of. . ..
Some people like to meditate by looking upon Amethyst in crystal form, or White. They must believe it brings them closer to God to do so. We all have different viewpoints. . .

No color can bring you close to God.... He doesnt cares what you wear or what you have what he looks for is for your heart.. if you really seek him you will find him and get closre to him but no color will help you on getting to him.
