Take her to a doctor, she may need antibiotics. Don't allow it to turn into pneumonia.

Make sure she is under a doctor's care. If not, it could turn into pneumonia. If she has not been to a doctor, then get her to the emergency room now. Not being able to breath is frightening. I've had asthma for many years, and have been admitted into the hospital for it. Make sure she is on medication.

Your body is beginning to heal the damage caused by the smoke. --Throat is sore because the mucus glands are adjusting to smoke/heat free life :) --Lungs hurt because the Cilia is beginning to grow back and move around the tar, which is placked onto your lungs. (that will also cause alot of coughing and sometimes flem comes up to), which can irritate your lungs even more. --You will feel like crap because your brain chemicals are re-adjusting to producing normal levels of dopmamine again (which they are lower when you quit because smoking gave you that "high"). You will also feel sick because your body is working pretty hard to repair itself. When i quit, abotu a week or 2 after a quit i actually got sick from it, but it got better and now i feel great :) (been 3-4 months)
