always had a boyfriend until about a year ago. we were always kinda close but when they broke up we started getting closer and closer all the time. a couple of months later we had our first kiss and we became closer, we talk every night on the phone and can hardly sleep until the other is home safe. then last year in july on my birthday she decides she wants to date me, so of course i happly excepted. about a month later she decides she wants to be single, because she said she has never had that befere and wants too experience it before she ends up married and regretting the fact she never took the time to experience it. so after the breakup to now not a lot has changed, we are still real close, we still kiss, and talk on the phone every day and or night and sometimes it feels like were still together, she says that desision has nothing to do w me, or other guys. you can tell she still cares, but still needs lots more time till she dates and is sometimes distant towards me. should i??

Listen I'm a girl and have never had a boyfriend, even though I've liked my best friend's brother for three years. All I can say is to tell her how you feel and give her some time to figure out things in her life.

I did the same thing. I had always been dating this one guy and I wanted to date other guys to find out if I could find a perfect mate.
As I did this, I was still in love with my boyfriend.
Four years later I went back to him exclusively.
Like your girlfriend, I knew that if I didn't date a variety of guys, I would regret it years later and probably end up breaking up with him permanently. I didn't want that to happen because I still loved my first boyfriend.
It sounds to me like she is doing what I did.
She'll probably go back to you. I can tell by what she said, that she still loves you.
Just hang in there and always be there for her during her journey.
