I have been learning and teaching Martial Arts for over thirty years now and when I first starting buying M/A videos was to see the variations between Assoc., Feds, etc. (Tang Soo Do and 1 Shotokan Kata VHS.). Those were also a little helpful in my TSD forms more then twenty years ago.

For the past ten years I have been learning and teaching the Art of Kenpo Karate. Most of the DVDs & VHS tapes I purchased off eBay and let me tell you this, I collected material from just about all of those who had trainning material on the U.S. market.

Kenpo is a very devastating Art of self defense, truly awesome techniques and the best is from Master Larry Tatum. His material is the most informitive and very well detailed on the, "what if concepts". Check out Master Tatum's web-site or go to youtube.com and search for Kenpo demos...and enjoy.

You will not be dissapointed in what Kenpo has to offer in self defense.

I hope this information will become useful in your search for tranning material.

Good luck and what ever you do, DON'T GIVE UP!

The best martial arts video is the one that accurately references the martial arts methods you've been training in with your qualified, legitimate instructor, and demonstrates the material clearly and at a level you can understand.

Martial arts videos aren't for training. They're a reference at best.

You can't learn martial arts from videos just like you can't learn to drive by one. You need a teacher and you need hands on time. It's the only way to learn it properly. It's been that way for over 2000 years and it's not going to change anytime soon.
