I have five lovebirds right now, and when I move out, I do plan on devoting a room to them. It'd be all theirs, bird safe, loaded with play gyms and supplies, and I'm hoping to add budgies, cockatiels, and maybe a conure to the flock. I also have one bird under foster care of my cousins right now, who I will be taking when I move out. :]

Yes, and it's the only reason I bought this house in the first place! 2 TVs, VCR, sound spas, refridge, shelves for their foods...pasta, canned fruits, popcorn, nuts of every kind, 7 grain bread, sun flower, and a lot more!
They have their 'play' area that is various perches for them to climb on.
I have 'sunlight' florescent bulbs that make the place glow so they feel good and they are able to produce vitamin D.
I have a boom box that I play classical music on as well as meditation and nature music.
They eat cooked food every day.... like pasta with chicken, pasta with any veggie I have on hand, and warm peaches, pineapple or whatever I think they might want. I also give them warm bread every day.
My birds are treated like they should be and it's not spoiling them to do all of these things for them because these birds have to have a certain level of care or they don't do as well as they should.
Most people don't realize that when you buy a parrot that they are time consuming and can be quite demanding. It's sad when someone buys a parrot and then after they've had it long enough to grow tired of having to care for it, they 'dump it' on anyone that will buy it!

Yes, I love exotic birds. I have six parrots, 4 cockatiels and two parakeets.
Yes, I have a room dedicated to the birds. I call it the "JUNGLE ROOM". It has lots of windows and plenty of space for them to stretch out; where there is minimal damage possible. Clean up is a snap. Have everything I need on a set of shelves I put in the room, and everything else is kept in a little closet. Organization helps keep the room tidy.
I love it... they love it. It works out for everybody!
You won't regret doing this for your pets.

Yes most definitely! I use to have a Macaw, Cockatoo, Two love Birds, Two cockteils,. They don't always get along so I would take each cage at a time every day and spend time with each of them. I would let them fly around the small ones of course and the big ones I would keep their wings clipped. That way i could take them out side and let them get some sun lite. All my birds would get sun lite every day along with fresh air. Birds all birds are the greatest.

It is every parrot owner's dream to be able to provide an indoor aviary for their birds. LOL
Since I live in an apartment right now (I am buying a house right now, and we're working on making it liveable) all I have to offer my macaws is 1/2 of the livingroom and most of the den. They have a great big maple tree that I installed in the den for them, a huge hanging playgym that hangs between the two rooms, their cages that stand in the den and in the livingroom and then they get to go wherever I go.
In my new house, however, they will have a room all to themselves. It's going to have one huge picture window so that they can see outside, the floors will be tile for easy cleanup, and they'll have a big hanging play gym that is attached from about 10 inches from the ceiling all the way across the room with various play toys hung from it. They can come and go as they please during the day, and they'll sleep in their cages at night.
But, I plan to still have them with me for at least half the day socializing because I don't want to screw up all the training I've given them in the name of letting them be wild in their room.

I just moved onto a 1 bedroom apartment and I have 3 cockatiels, an Amazon Parrot and a guinea pig. The animals all stay in the bedroom (which I call the "Bird Room" and I stay in the living room. All of my abimals were abused and/or unwanted and now they are happy and spoiled. :)
They all love having their own room.
