Does anyone know how long is the I-130 petition process, when the applier is LPR (lawful permanent resident) and no yet a US citizen. Anyone has a familiar case or not? Please let me know. Thanks

As long as the petitioner is a "Lawful Permanent Resident" (LPR) he/she can file an I-130 for a spouse/fiance(e). Time sometimes depends on the service ceter you initially file with. Some are faster than others.

I went through the visa process 2 years ago with my wife who came here from China. It took about 15 months for her to get a visa, but China is one of the few countries that take the longest amount time. However, recently the waiting time has been reduced. Some countries take less time, some still take longer.

the best thing to do is just submit the petition and take it one day at a time.
