Foods that have protein are the best choices. Whole grains and high-fiber foods will help you stay "full" longer as well. So, some good choices would be oatmeal or whole-grain cereal for breakfast, along with yogurt or eggs (both good sources of protein) and some fresh fruit. For lunch, you could go for a sandwich made on whole wheat bread that has lots of lettuce and tomato and low-fat lunch meat like turkey or chicken. Have some more fresh fruit or veggies along with lunch, like an apple and some carrots.
And don't forget to have a small snack between each meal if you can fit it in. Make it something healthy and fairly filling as well and you'll be less likely to overeat at the next meal. Some great snacks are yogurt, fresh fruits or veggies, popcorn, or a handful of nuts (almonds are great).

Egg whites, turkey bacon, Canadian bacon, whole wheat toast, ham, cheese, feta, etc...
If you're looking for energy check out the nutrition facts. You want things that are high in protein and fiber and low in saturated fats. They will keep you energized and feeling full. Keep some fruit and some nuts (peanuts or cashews or almonds) around to snack on in between meals if you just can't wait.
P.S. (Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated fats are good for you.)
Also, if you really want to be healthy start cutting out anything in your fridge in pantry that contain Partially Hydroginated Oils and High Fructose Corn Syrup. These are both man made chemicals in which the body does not recognize and therfore doesn't know what to do with it so it just stores it in the body as fat cells. They're sure to bring you down.

What you need is a good balance of protein and carbohydrates.
If you eat oatmeal for example, that is all carbs. Your body will burn through it and you will feel hungry again and your blood sugar will drop.
Good carbohydrates are fruit, whole wheat breads, and grains.
Good proteins are nuts, fish, poultry, eggs, beans, and soy.
You should have both carbohydrates and proteins at breakfast and lunch. That will keep you healthy and full of energy!

Kashi Go Lean Cereal is extremely high in fibre and protein (both of which fill you up). It is the only cereal that keeps me full until lunch (as my schedule requires me to eat breakfast at 6:15 am and lunch at noon, with no possibility of having a snack in the middle). I usually eat it with a bit of soy milk and natural (unsweetened, unflavoured) yogurt, but you could use regular milk and yogurt if you wanted. If you like bananas, you can slice one on top of the cereal as well.
