How can I get discounted Broadway tickets in New York?

I saw on ebay where they were selling a promo code to get the discount. I was wondering how to get one.
Also, are there any ways to get discounts on the double decker bus tour tickets. Thanks!

the TKTS booth is currently closed in times square (I can see if from my office). It is temporarily located in the Marriot on 46th and broadway. You can usually get tickets, but you can only get ones for that day, do it is a gamble.

the "codes" on ebay are scams.

Anyone selling a "Code" on E-bay is proably running a scam and I would stay away from those.

You can go to the TKTS booths in NYC. They only take Cash or Travelers Checks, NO Credit Cards.

They have 2 one in Time Square and one at the South Street Seaport

They sell tickets up to 50% off but be prepared to stand in line. There is no guarantee what tickets or what discount they will be day by day but they do have quite a selection of different shows. The link below will give you more information including the bus lines and hours.

There is a TKTS booth at the Marriot Hotel on Broaday between 45th and 46th Streets.

For other discounts you might want to check the Welcome Center on 7th Ave and 47th-46th St.

You can get discount tickets day of show at the TICKETS booth in Times Square. You have to wait in a line. Don't know about the bus, some hotels may have coupons.

Go online and look for places that sell them cheap. It is the fastest way.
