Often a different kind of laser will remove a scar caused from another laser. Weird, but true. Probably the lasers that get rid of birthmarks and such would take care of scars (to a point). If you are wanting to do it yourself, I don't have the answer. Skin lighteners don't work, as they are made for interfering with melanin.

There is a new Rx out just for this. Due to the current war we are in our surgeons have developed new pastes that help reduce the scar tissue and it eventually shrinks away.
Another old timer, is the plant Aleo Vera. Rub the juce from its leafs onto the scar and it will reduce it also. I have done this and it really does help.

the doctor who did the laser surgery should give you something if there is a scar.
