My right hand hurts all the time and....?

im right handed and right on my palm below my thumb (there's a bone there) it's swollen and bruised i havent done anything to it and it hurts when i play my flute and the piano and write notes...it hurts and i have a band concert coming up and i need to be able to play the flute! any advise??

Aleve helps that kind of pain best for me. fewer pills for a longer time. See an orthopedic doctor, who deals with bones and joints (to which muscles are attached).
