Well, I am a muslima (girl muslim)... I was converted when I was 6. I used to be a christian - an adventist. There is no baptism in Islam. You just have to be a muslim by heart... How? Just follow what prophet Muhammad taught, read the Quran, and pray in the name of Allah 5 times a day. This also includes fasting in the day of Ramadan. You don't have to have someone baptize you... just have someon guide you with these things and do the practices. But remember that some Muslim practices are not in the Quran, like what people in Saudi do. Some of their practices are not taught by the prophet and should not be considered. Be logical and base your judgements in the Quran.Don't just believe in what other people say.
Salam! I hope you would find your way! =)

Well I am a muslim and I know what you should do. The first thing you need to do is to actually educate yourself on the religon of Islam. Then you need to know and folow the five pillars of islam which are:
1. Faith= having the belief that there is only one God and that Muhammad(pbuh) is his messenger
2. prayer= you need to start praying 5 times a day
3. fasting= you should fast during the month of Ramadan
4. charity= you should always give charity and help the poor
5. Hajj= You need to make the pilgramage to Mecca for Hajj and you have to do it atleast once if your life if you are able to
This is just a brief thing of what you should do. There is much much more you have to do in becoming a Muslim so you should get to know other muslims or find out all you can about the religon of Islam.
may the peace and blessings of Allah (God) be upon you

All you have to say in front of two Muslims is “Ashadou ana La-ilaha Ill Allah wa Ashadou ana Muhammadan Rasoulallah”
By saying this, you testify that there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is the messenger of god. In Hadith, [stories of the life and sayings of Mohammed ] there is a story about a man who asked if he could say the Sahadda and not do any thing else. The answer was yes-just say La-ilaha Ill Allah as much as you can. In time, he came back and asked to learn more. I have abridge the story a lot but you need to know this so other Muslims don’t pile it on to thick, I embraced Islam in 1986. Rhiannon is my daughter and I tell her she dose not have to believe as I do and there is no compulsion in religion.

Believe the Quran to be the holy book of Allah, Muhammad to be his prophet and start to practice the teachings of the Quran.
Why you would want to do this I don't even try to understand, but that is it. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me" To become a Muslim would mean that you will be rejecting Christ and his salvation.

You have to take the shahada (declaration of faith) in front of Muslim witnesses (2 men or 1 man + 2 women). The shahada is "Ash hadu alla ilaha illa allah wa ash had anna muhammadar rasul ullah.

You have to recite in Arabic that there in only one God but Allah and Mohammad is the messenger of Allah.
Besides that you need to learn the teachings of Islam and not just want to become one because you want a new activity.

Admit that Mohammad was a prophet of God, and that Jesus was just a man with no divine qualities. You'll also have to believe that the Jews are corrupt, that they have changed the Bible, and that Jesus was not crucified.
You'll also have to believe that Abraham built the Kabba at Mecca, which is the building Musilms walk around 7 times before they kiss a sacred rock. You will have to believe that God told Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael at the Kabba in Mecca, not Isaac at Moriah (as stated in the Bible, and confirmed by the Dead Sea scrolls).
You will also have to believe that Mohammad is a direct decendant of Ishmael, so that Mohammad might be considered a prophet by the Jews, and be part of God's covenant with Ishmael.
You will also have to believe that when Abraham sent Ishmael and Hagar away, they went 800 miles SE across barren desert to go to Mecca, rather than less than 100 miles SW to Egypt, as the Bible says. Hagar was from Egypt, and she hooked Ishmael up with a wife from Egypt. It makes much more sense that they went back towards Egypt (as the Bible says) but you have to take Mohammad's word for it. Mohammad knows best.
Basically, you have to adhere to the Gnostic Arian teachings which were present at the time Mohammad lived. Mohammad learned from his nephew, who himself was a Gnostic Arian Arab Christian.

Say the Shahada, and mean it... The Shahada goes like this:
"There is no God but God, and Mohammed is his messenger."
You are now a Muslim, if you said it with the intention of becoming one. Your obligations now include the five pillars.

You have to deny that Jesus Christ died for your sins so that you might have eternal life. You have to take the word Muhammad over the words of Jesus Christ and the apostles and believe the words of a book that you cannot understand unless you learn to read it in the ancient language it was written in. Then you have to decide if you are a Sunni or a Shia. Then the real hair splitting begins.
