here is the child support calculator (some states have them on their sites too); just click on your state and fill it in. that will give you just a general idea as to what will be paid.

if you want to cut down on the costs, offer to babysit (tell the court that) and it will be decided. sometimes it helps (if the baby isnt too young and you take parenting class).

It does depend on the state but it usually is between 1/4 - 1/3 of your check. I know that sounds like alot but you have to take in consideration how expensive things are. If you worked a min. wage job you would bring home around $180.00 week and you would pay $45-60 for child support each week. Tell me how the hell someone can take care of a kid on that kind of money?

IT DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH YOU'RE MAKING, THE AGE AND NEEDS OF THE CHILD. YOU ACTUALLY DO GO TO JAIL IF YOU DON'T PAY. IT VARIES ON HOW LONG YOU HAVE TO DO. a FRIEND OF MINE DOESN'T EVEN FILE TAXES BECAUSE SHE OWES SO MUCH IN CHILD SUPPORT. IF YOU GTO THE TIME TO MAKE THAT CHILD YOU SHOULD HAVE THE TIME TO GET OFF YOUR LAZY AS AND SUPPORT IT

It's usually 30% of your income.

But it varies from state to state.

Please remember:

You breed em, you feed em.

and don't abandon your children, even if you don't like their mother.
