Give him the old something on the shirt trick, and flick him in the nose, when he looks dwon. If he doesn't fall for that say Make me!

Pretend that you can't hear him! Or tell him to speak louder until he is practically shouting it, and then your parent/guardian will yell at him! It is a totally perfect plan! And not too mean!

if you are a lot older say bad language or somthing like that
and if you are same age keep going on with any good come back you can think of till your mom/ dad comes and stops it.

depends how old you are.
If you are an adult (or upper teenager). You should probably say something like, "shut up is not an appropriate word to use." and practice using appropriate language for when he is angry.
If youre younger then you two should just keep shouting at each other until your mother decides she can't take it anymore and runs away.

Just laugh hysterically and walk away...........that would kill anyone because it will make them think that what they said didn't have any affect on you at all and would be so curious to know the reason. Don't ever tell him anything. That would definitely drive him over the edge!

Well, since several people have said that one already, one I like that works for just about any lame put-down is, "Hey, that's original. Did you think it up all by yourself?"

call mom and tell her that your brother told you to shut up. Then smack his annoying head. Don't do it too hard to make him cry though and don't do it in front of people. Then deny it.
