Why are the DotA maps I download not working???

i have download a lot of map but why i cant play??

Download them from the official site, www.dota-allstars.com. They run over Battlenet with Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne. Make sure you have the most current version, and when you go to join a game do it through the Custom Map/Use Map Settings games on Battlenet.

What program are you using to view them?
Are you using Itunes? Windows Movee Maker?

Check the way they are saved and chose a program from the list in your system to play them or you might have to download a program to make them work.
