He's older than me by 8 years, Isnt he supposed to be the more mature one, in some ways? (im 23) He sometimes acts younger than me. He calls himself stupid, he had to stay 2 years back from gradution Is that bad? I cant tell if he's serious about being 'slow' or not!!! I dont see anything wrong with him, except for him saying those things to me.

You may not see wrong things in a lot of guys...but I think, being a guy and all, we all are immature...when I'm out with the guys that I haven't seen in a real long time we just go back to the way we were in high school...yea we're adults but who cares if your having fun right? If he says he's stupid then maybe he is....for saying that...I mean when I mess up in a lot of things I put myself down as an excuse...but I really don't mean it in the long run...but if it's affecting everyday life then I guess he does have low self esteem...boost his ego and things will be alright...i think...to answer your question....I don't know....sorry...
